What's Here:

Print Shop InteriorA complete working print shop, with some of the artifacts dating back as far as 1880.  This was the equipment used by the legendary William Chalfant, whose father founded the Inyo Independent newspaper in 1870. The Independent was the predecessor to the Inyo Register, which is still published to this day. For many decades, the Chalfant Press was a major publisher based in the Eastern Sierra, and printed a number of books, including The Story of Inyo.

Norman Weller was one of the original members and supporters of the Laws Railroad Museum and Historical Site.  Norman donated this building which moved to Laws from Round Valley.
