What's Here:
This wagon barn created in 2018, houses 20-mule-team borax wagons, a reproduction produced by the Death Valley Conservancy which was an entry in the 2017 Rose Parade in Pasadena, California. The back wall presents a mural of the 20 mule team in action many years ago.
To preserve the past and encourage interest in the early mining history of Death Valley, the Death Valley Conservancy commissioned exact replicas of the Twenty Mule Team wagons that once transported borax 165 miles across Death Valley to the nearest railhead at Mojave, California.
The American Mule Museum display is housed here.
